The Lake Shore shorians had a good year finishing with 5 wins and 4 losses. This was only the second time in 5 years that the Shorians just missed out on the playoffs but things are looking up.OFFENSE Lake Shore fielded a prolific offense for the third year in a row. They averaged a remarkable 37.6 points per game. A large part of the offense came from the ground averaging 295.3 rushing yards per game this year. With 5 returning offensive players and a large returning class of juniors and sophmores the offensive side of the ball looks like it will be continueing its dominance on the field. DEFENSE The Shorians defense was one of the hardest hitting defenses this coach has ever seen forcing 26 turnovers in 9 games this year. The defense gave up on average 26.4 points per game. The turnovers came from 14 interceptions and 12 fumbles. The defensive line also was able to get to the quarterback 12 times this year. With 6 returning starters and a handful of players with starting experience the defense looks like they will be a force to be reckoned with once again.

The Junior varsity if preparing for a great year this year. After a long off season where we had a record of Junior varsity players and 8th graders showing up on a regular basis things look to be shaping up for this to become a speciel season for the boys. Last year the team started 18 freshmen out of the 22 total starting postition. With a large group of returing sophomores and talented freshmen the team will come in with a ton of starting experience.
